Account Opening

United Bank gives you options to make opening your account as easy as possible. Simply follow the instructions below to open your account online. If you do not wish to open your account online simply open the printable application, complete the form and submit to United Bank of Michigan.

 

How To Access Your HSA Funds

Online Banking

Access real-time account information 24/7 from the convenience of your personal computer. Online Banking is easy to use and more secure than ever. Look up account balances, see what transactions have posted, transfer funds between accounts, even pay your bills.

Enrollment

Complete the first time login form to enroll. You will need your online banking PIN created at account opening. To reset your online banking PIN call 800.968.1990.

Online Bill Pay

Pay most of your bills without buying stamps, licking envelopes or worrying about checks getting held up in the mail. Unlimited online payments are yours for free.

Enrollment

Log on to Personal Online Banking, select the Bill Payments tab, fill out contact information and follow the prompts.

Mobile Deposit

Deposit your checks whenever it's most convenient for you, wherever you are. It's completely secure and making a deposit is as easy as taking a picture.

Enrollment

You must first be enrolled in Mobile Banking and be using the application to access mobile deposit.

External Transfers

Our External transfer service lets you move funds quickly and easily between your accounts at United Bank and those at other financial institutions. It's safe and secure!

Enrollment

Log on to Personal Online Banking, select Other Services and External Transfer Signup and follow the prompts to complete enrollment.

Tax Information

United Bank's HSA account holders will receive two tax forms concerning their HSA. The first form is the 1099-SA. This form is sent out by January 31st and discloses distributions for the previous calendar year. The 5498-SA is sent out by May 31 of each year. This form discloses Fair Market Value, and contributions made for credit to the previous year. Remember that contributions can be made until the tax deadline day for the previous year. Thus, this form is sent out between April 15 and May 31.

In addition, in January, you will receive a year end statement. This can be used to calculate your contribution amount for the year to that point. This statement is also available online.
